We are excited to let you know that, in the Tech department, we will be using Minecraft EDU (the educational version of Minecraft) in class for mini-lessons from time to time throughout the remainder of this year. This is a fun way for students to learn collaboration and problem-solving skills in a safe, controlled environment. Students will work with their classmates in a virtual space to create and learn together in the amazing world of Minecraft! We look forward to what they build! The test consists of 56 questions, likely covering a range of topics relevant to digital literacy such as:

  1. **Digital Citizenship**: Understanding rights, responsibilities, and opportunities in the digital world, including issues such as cyberbullying, online safety, and ethical behavior.
  2. **Knowledge Constructor**: Evaluating and curating digital resources for accuracy, relevance, and credibility.
  3. **Innovative Designer**: Using technology to solve problems creatively and develop solutions.
  4. **Computational Thinker**: Analyzing and interpreting data, using computational thinking to solve problems.
  5. **Creative Communicator**: Communicating effectively using various digital platforms and media.
  6. **Global Collaborator**: Collaborating with others locally and globally using digital tools to broaden perspectives and enrich learning experiences.

Overall, the summative test serves as an important tool for assessing and improving students' digital literacy skills, ensuring they are prepared to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
