Happy April! There are only 37 more school days. This year has sure flown by. We want to thank everyone who either attended Spring Bash or contributed to our $1 a day campaign. THANK YOU!! The event was a huge success and we cant wait to get the numbers out to you! We will be sending another email soon.


AAPTO-CP April Events


King Soopers Rewards Program

Do you still have hours to meet your 40? We have an easy way to make some of your hours disappear. You received an email last night on how to make sure your King Soopers rewards card links back to donate 5% of your purchases to our school. Please click here if you want that info. We are offering ANY family one volunteer hour for every $200 you spend, if you have your rewards card linked to AACP PTO! That’s right! You get one hour just for buying your groceries!


Friday, April 12th Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

For the April luncheon we will be having a burger bar from Red Robin! Yummm! Please help us make this event a success by clicking here to donate items for the luncheon. Please drop off all of the items at the front office by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12th.  If you are unable to attend the event or can't bring your items, please delete your name from the sign up page so we can get your spot filled.

Father/Son Event – NERF WAR - Saturday, April 13th

Our first ever Father and Son Event is just around the corner! Dads, get ready for a fun day with your sons! We will be having a Father and Son Nerf War event on Saturday, April 13th from 1:30 - 3:30pm at the Castle Pines campus. CLICK HERE to register. 


Restaurant Night – MOD Pizza – Castle Rock and Lone Tree – April 17

Come one, Come All.  Our next restaurant night will be back at MOD Pizza.  Join us at either the Castle Rock or Lone Tree location! We will send more info out as it gets closer.


Preparing for Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10

Teacher Appreciation Week is a GAME changer this year! Are you "Tidying Up" your house and want to get rid of old board games you don't play anymore?  We would love to have them for the decorations for Teacher/Staff Appreciation week! We will even take games that are missing parts! Please sign up and let us know what you will be bringing by clicking here!


Please drop off the games at the front office by Thursday, April 25th! 


We will be needing help decorating for this week. Click here to sign up to help on Friday, May 3rd or Saturday May 4th and get DOUBLE volunteer hours!

Additional information about how students will be participating in this fun event will be emailed to families in the coming week. We will also be sending information on the luncheons and what you can do to help.



ATTENTION :Trash Pick Up has been RESCHEDULED for May 11th

We are bummed that Mother Nature didn’t have in mind what we did! However, we will be rescheduling our trash pick up for Saturday, May 11th. We will be picking up trash all around the school and Elk Ridge Park! What a great way to give back to the community! We will meet at the school at 11am. We will end with some pizza! This is a free, family event, but we would still like a count of how many people are coming so we can order the right amount of food! Please sign up here if you will be joining us!



AAPTO-CP April News


Leadership Breakfast and Lunch Committee Chair(s) needed

We are need of someone who would be willing to chair the committee to make sure our leadership award winners get breakfast and lunch.  Middle school will get a lunch and elementary school will get breakfast.  So, this could be two separate people, or one person!  Please email Jodi Losinger if you are interested in coordinating these lunches and breakfasts.  There are only two more left this year.  One in February and one in May!


Rebel Service Club

Our Rebel Service Club will be collecting our unwanted backpacks and school supplies at the end of this year. They will be helping both kids in our school and others in DCSD that are in need of supplies. We will send out more info on how you can donate and where to bring your items.


Collecting Markers

We will be collecting markers at the end of the year to help the environment. Crayola has a program where you can give all dried out markers to them so they don’t end up in a landfill. We hope to make this a monthly or bi-monthly occurrence but for this year, we will be collecting in May.  More information to come.


Box Tops

Please continue to collect box tops and Longmont Dairy. Thank you for collecting them for our school.  We are counting to see where we stand. We will let your know as soon as we have the winners!


Mabel’s Labels Scrip

The lost and found is already piling high, so please label your child’s belongings.  We have created an account on Mabel’s Labels, so for any of you who love to use these on everything our kids lose, look for American Academy Castle Pines or click here to shop.  Similar to our restaurant nights, we receive a percentage of all sales.


American Furniture Warehouse

We sent home a flyer today from American Furniture Warehouse.  We recently have partnered with them.  Next time you shop at AFW, you can let them know AA is your school and they will give 2%-4% back to AA Castle Pines!  If you didn’t receive the flyer, you can click here to get it!


Parent Directory - DirectorySpot

Do you want to plan your child’s birthday party but don’t have all the right contact information? Or do you want to schedule a playdate for your child?  Please use the DirectorySpot to help you get the information you need. Unfortunately, our teachers cannot give out personal information.


Parents received an email from DirectorySpot on September 18th.  If you go to that email and select the green Set Password button on the email, you will be taken into the DirectorySpot system and you will need to select the green Reset Password button. 


If you cannot find the email from September 18th, you can:

  • Go to
  • Click the Login button
  • Enter the email you have on file with the school
  • Click the Reset Password button
  • You will be sent an email from DirectorySpot to reset your password

PTO-CP Monthly Board Meetings

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 16th in the library. The open meeting starts at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to GET INVOLVED and meet other parents. We welcome your feedback!
