Student Shutterfly Authorization and Class Funds - Please sign up soon
At the start of every school year, we ask all parents to complete a Shutterfly Authorization form for EACH of their children. Please take a moment to complete the form for your American Academy students through the link provided below. The option to contribute towards your child's class fund is also available through this link. We no longer ask you to complete the form & send it back into your child's homeroom class, it has been combined online on MySchoolBucks!
As a reminder, class funds are used throughout the school year to pay for class parties, class field day supplies, teacher/IA birthday gifts, teacher appreciation and more. By collecting this money upfront through MySchoolBucks, we do not have to ask families for funds throughout the year as these events come up.

PTO Open Board Positions – We need you!
We need your help in making this a great year for our AA Community! We have open positions on our Castle Pines PTO Board, and we would love to have you join. If you are interested in getting more information about any of the open positions below, please email email@example.com with the position that you are interested in.
VP-Fundraising: Are you great with party planning? Are you great with people? Then this is the position for you! The VP-Fundraising board position is responsible for organizing the annual spring gala fundraiser. It consists of throwing a party for the AA parents, teachers, staff and administration to celebrate what a wonderful school we have while raising funds for our school and our kids. It entails planning the party logistics, whether it be in person or virtual, along with gathering donations from the community to be auctioned off during the event. We need someone who loves a great party, who has lots of energy, and is creative and fun. If that’s you, then please apply for this position.
Treasurer: If you are great with budgets, numbers, and financial reporting, than this is the position for you! The VP-Treasurer board position is responsible for our annual budget, tracking spend for the PTO, including classroom funds. This position keeps the PTO Board informed of how we are tracking vs. budget and ensuring that income is accounted for and that spend is categorized appropriately. The VP-Treasurer is the liaison to the Foundation of Douglas County Schools (FDCS) and ensures that we reconcile to the accounting records of the FDCS. We need someone who can keep us fiscally responsible and on track.
Assistant Treasurer: Are you detailed oriented and organized? This is a great position that you can do from home on your own time. This position is vital to the PTO Board in getting reimbursement requests processed for our amazing volunteers. The Assistant Treasurer position is responsible for ensuring reimbursement requests have proper documentation and are for PTO Board approved spend. We would like to have someone who can work with weekly deadlines for this position.
