Chipotle Lone Tree Restaurant Night – October 16th
Our next restaurant night will be at Chipotle in Lone Tree. Who doesn’t want an easy night of NO cooking!? We will earn 33% of the sales between the hours of 4pm-8pm! All you have to do is print out the brochure by clicking here, show it on your phone or just make mention you are with American Academy. It’s that easy to help the school. The address is 9500 Heritage Hills Cir #700. We hope to see you there.
We are also in need of someone who could place signs the day before restaurant nights and also the day of restaurant nights and then take them down. This would be easy for someone who lives close to the school. The signs are small and easy to store. If you are interested, please contact Christy Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon – October 18th
Opa! For the October luncheon, let's show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them Greek style! Our second teacher/staff appreciation luncheon will be a Mediterranean theme! Please click here to select an item to bring to the school for this much appreciated event.
Please drop off all of the items at the front office by 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018. If you are unable to attend the event or can't bring your items, please delete your name from the sign up page so we can get your spot filled.

Fall Festival – October 20th
Mark your calendars for a new fun filled family event! Family Fall Festival will be on Saturday, October 20th from 3:00 - 6:00pm at the school. We will have trunk-o-treat, games, a bounce house and a Haunted Hallway. Don’t forget to wear your costume and bring a bucket to hold all your candy and prizes. This is definitely going to be an event you don’t want to miss.

Rebels Reaching Out Food Driver - October 22-26
The AAPTO-CP will be collecting dried and canned goods for the food bank for our sister school, Molholm Elementary. As you know, Molholm Elementary is a JeffCo. School where over 90% of the students are on the Free or Reduced lunch program. The staff and families of Molholm can really use your help and they are always grateful for the generosity of our AA-CP families. Any dried or canned goods are appreciated, however, below is a list of the most requested items:
soup in can animal crackers
soup in package (Ramen) crackers
boxed meals goldfish crackers
noodle bowls cheese crackers
rice bowls fruit cups
tuna in a can or pouch Chex mix
chicken in a can or pouch juice boxes
rice granola bars
beans popcorn in small bags
dry cereal (low sugar) pretzels in small bags
apple sauce canned fruit and veggies
fruit cups. yogurt non-refrigerated pouch
Simply bring the food items (check the expiration dates if donating from your pantry) to the morning carpool during the week of October 22-26 and a volunteer will pick them up from you. There will also be a box in the front office lobby if you want to drop off items throughout the day.

Our Skate City event will be taking place on Thursday, November 1st! This will cost only $9.50 per child and includes food and skate rental. We will be sending out a separate email with more details and a link to sign up. Don’t forget to put it on your calendar!
Fun Run Winner
Congratulations to our volunteer winner, Melissa Phipps. She won a one month VIP carpool pass! We really appreciate all of our volunteers. Thanks so much for making the Fun Run a successful event!
Please continue to collect your box tops. We will be collecting them on October 26th, the next dress of choice day. In our next post, we will give you details on a contest for homerooms.

The lost and found is already piling high, so please label your child’s belongings. We have created an account on Mabel’s Labels, so for any of you who love to use these on everything our kids lose, look for American Academy Castle Pines or click here to shop. Similar to our restaurant nights, we receive a percentage of all sales.

PTO-CP Monthly Board Meetings
PTO-CP Monthly Board Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at the AA-CP Library. Our next meeting is November 6th. Our meetings open at 7pm and parents are ALWAYS welcome to attend. This is a great way for parents to get involved and learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities.
