January Events

American Academy Backs the Blue – Friday, January 8th

Help us celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! The official day is Saturday, January 9th, but we are celebrating and giving thanks to all those who serve our community this Friday, January 8th by hosting a drive thru breakfast for our local law enforcement. We are especially thankful to our Castle Pines SRO Deputy Eric Rhymer! We would like students to show their appreciation by wearing BLUE this Friday. Your student may wear an AA Backs the Blue shirt, blue uniform or spirit shirt, or any blue shirt (dress code appropriate). We look forward to seeing hallways of blue!

Sock It To Em Drive – Collecting Socks for Homeless Children - January 11th – 22nd

With the current Covid-19 health crisis, the homeless and low income individuals fall into the most vulnerable category. Socks are the #1 clothing need of those experiencing homelessness. The Sock It To Em Sock Campaign aims to put new socks on the feet of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and/or are in need. Join the Castle Pines AAPTO in helping homeless children by donating new pairs of socks from January 11th-22nd. Collection bags will be placed in homerooms & the AACP Front Lobby. Children’s socks are preferred, but socks of any size are appreciated. We are doing everything we can to help Colorado’s children now and in the future. To do that, we need your support! “We’re making a social impact one pair of socks at a time!” – Sock Drive January 11th – 22nd.
