AACP PTO Star Volunteer
We are pleased to recognize The Strand Family — Lisa, Ryan, Sam (8th grade), and Finn (2nd grade) — as our Star Volunteer Family of the Month. The Strands joined American Academy when Sam was in 4th grade, and Finn has been here since Pre-K.
Lisa has a deep appreciation for the role teachers play in shaping students’ education and is committed to supporting them in any way she can. She finds great fulfillment in getting to know the students her children are growing up with and values the strong sense of community among AA staff, students, and parents.
As Grade Parent Coordinator, Lisa works closely with teachers by supporting and guiding all grade parents and ensuring parents have the resources they need to assist classrooms effectively. She also lead the annual Grade Parent Kick-Off Meeting to set volunteers up for success.
We are truly grateful to the Strand family for their time, effort, and dedication to making AA a wonderful place for our students and teachers, and as a token of our appreciation, the Strand family gets use of a carpool pass for a month! Their contributions help create a supportive environment where teachers can focus on what they do best—educating and inspiring our children. Thank you, Strand Family, for all that you do!
