Stock the Lounge - 1/13 and 1/27
Attention 4th Grade Families

As you may know, we have been asking grades to volunteer for Stock the Lounge and Teacher Lunch on a rotating basis. We have asked 4th grade families to provide for January! Anyone can sign up and bring items in, but we are asking 4th grade families in particular to please take a look and sign up!

The two days for dropping items are 1/13 and 1/27. You can drop off your donations in the big box labeled STOCK THE LOUNGE DONATIONS in the front office.

Please bring your donations on or before the date listed. Audrey is happy to pick up your donations anytime, just call/text or email!

First Restaurant Fundraiser of 2025 at
Lazy Dog in Highlands Ranch 1/15 - 1/17

Lazy Dog Restaurant in Highlands Ranch has partnered with us for a multi-day fundraiser this January 15th, 16th, and 17th! Please bring the flier with you while dining in, or use the promo code “44AAC” when ordering online! Lazy Dog in HR is giving back 15% of the total proceeds during these three days (with the use of the flier or promo code). If you haven’t heard of them, check out the menu from the link below!

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch 1/17
Attention 4th Grade Families

As I mentioned earlier in this email, we have asked the 4th grade families to volunteer for the January Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch, but all families are welcome to sign up and help out! The January lunch will be an Italian spread, so please sign up for an item to bring to the school for the staff lunch.

Please drop off all of the items at the front office by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17th.  If you are unable to attend the event or can't bring your items, please delete your name from the sign up page so we can get your spot filled.

Mother/Son Dance
Masquerade Ball 1/18 5-7PM

The AACP PTO is once again putting on a Mother/Son dance, and this time we are doing a masquerade ball. Please sign up to attend through the My School Bucks Link below. The cost is $40 for a mother/son duo, and $15 for each additional son/child.

We definitely need your help to make our events a success, so if you’re not attending the dance, please consider signing up to volunteer your time or food/drinks!

Wizards vs. Hoopsters - Jan 26

EXCITING NEWS ~ THE WIZARDS ARE COMING BACK TO TOWN TO TAKE ON OUR VERY OWN AMERICAN ACADEMY HOOPSTERS! And by Hoopsters, we mean your favorite teachers and staff.

Save the date, and be sure not to miss this exciting event. Last year less than 20% of our school community took part in this exciting event, so there's lots more fun to be had! If you joined us, you know what an amazing night it was; be sure to join us again. If you didn't join us, you may have heard what an epic night it was, and one not to be missed.

AACP PTO Star Volunteer

The Ruddy Family — Marcus, Krystal, Reese (7th), Charlotte (5th), and Maxson (1st) — calls Lone Tree home, and have been part of the American Academy community since 2022. From the Ruddy family, “Having all three kids at one school is a true gift. I love being in their classrooms, catching glimpses of their school day, and sharing in such a meaningful part of their lives. It’s a joy to know their teachers, meet their friends, and hear, “Hey, that’s Max’s mom!” or “Charlotte’s mom!”—those moments are priceless. Even our middle schooler can’t help but smile when we cross paths in the hallway. American Academy, the staff, students and fellow parents have been an incredible blessing for our family, and we couldn’t be more thankful.”

The Ruddy family is such a help to the AACP PTO and as a token of our appreciation, the Ruddy family gets use of a carpool pass for a month! The PTO greatly appreciates the Ruddy family for all they do!
