Butter Braids Fundraiser Update & Pickup Reminder - Nov 21

Prize Winners

-Congratulations to Mrs. Andrunik, the teacher with the most products sold by Nov 9th! She will be awarded a $50 Amazon gift card!

-We had a tie for top earning families so instead of the top 3 families, we will be rewarding the top 4 amilies! Congratulations to the Lamle, Minnard, Peebles, and Robinson families! You all will be contacted individually to receive your $50 Amazon gift cards!

-There are 19 families that are being entered into the drawing for the $150 Amazon gift card (a couple of which have two entries a piece). The winner will be randomly drawn by Butter Braids and we will announce that shortly!

PICKUP REMINDER: Butter braids will be distributed this Thursday, November 21st at 5PM at the parking lot at 558 Castle Pines Parkway, 80108, so make sure to come get your items!

Toy Drive - Nov 18 - Dec 11

AACP PTO is hosting a Toy Drive, partnering with A Precious Child to bring holiday joy to children in need. The drive runs from November 18th to December 11th. In order for us to ensure that every age group is covered, we have broken up the focus of our grades into the following:

K-5th grade: New, unwrapped gift for a child your age and gender
6th grade: Gift for any middle schooler
7th & 8th grade: Toddler toys

Donations should be brought to your homeroom. Also, volunteers are needed to transport toys on December 12th—sign up HERE

If any homeroom collects toys equal to or greater than 85% of its students, they’ll earn a dress of choice day on January 7th. The top elementary class also wins a popcorn party; the top middle school class also wins a donut party. AA Staff Holiday Gift Fund - Nov 18 - Dec 13

We are happy to announce that we will be doing the Holiday Gift Fund again this year! This much-loved tradition is an opportunity for families to give cash gifts to the teachers and staff of American Academy in lieu of individual holiday gifts. This is a great way to do something extra special during the holiday season for those people who have sacrificed so much and are the lifeline in our children’s education. The gift fund packet was sent home with your youngest student on Friday, November, 15th.

Family Movie Night - Dec 6

Get ready for a night of fun and entertainment! We’re excited to invite you to our Annual Family Movie Night on Friday, December 6th at 5:30pm. Bring your blankets and enjoy a fantastic movie with us!

The PTO will be providing snacks and drinks, so come hungry and ready for a great time. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax and connect with other families in our community. Don’t miss out on the fun—mark your calendars! We can't wait to see you there!

Though not required, we are asking families to RSVP to make sure that we have enough goodies. If you’d like to attend, please RVSP (this event is free).

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 7th from 11am-2pm as all 3 AA Campuses come together to shop local for the Holidays! Buy a gift for a friend, mom, dad, siblings, the neighbor or create one at our craft table. We can’t wait to see you there!

Don’t forget to stop into the Uniform Resale for all your uniform needs!

December Stock the Lounge - Dec 2 & 16

Help us stock the lounge for the teachers and staff to show them how much we appreciate them. You can drop off your donations in the big box labeled STOCK THE LOUNGE DONATIONS in the front office.

November Volunteer of the Month - Jenn Duran

“The Duran family (Matt, Jenn, Hallie (5th), Leo (3rd), Bennett (1st)) live in Castle Pines and have been an American Academy family since 2020. With all 3 in school, I love being able to help out and see the kids and get to know their teachers and friends!! It doesn’t even feel like volunteer time to me, I feel lucky to be able to be involved with such a wonderful school. We have had a great experience so far, and my kids love when I volunteer and get to sneak a quick hug in! I feel like I’ll never get this time back with them, so I’m enjoying these elementary years when they still think Mom is cool.”

The PTO Board greatly appreciates Jenn and her family, and the family will receive a VIP Carpool Pass to thank them for their service to AACP PTO. Thank you again Jenn!
