Thank you, thank you, thank you parents and students for making Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week an incredible success. There are a few important events coming up that we need you all to be aware of. We have a restaurant night, Chalk-the-Walk, a Humanitarian Aid Fundraiser for Ukraine orphans, and uniform collections going on. The PTO would not be successful without the help of all of you, so thank you again! We are almost done everyone!

Nova Spark Foundation Fundraiser for Ukrainian Orphans - May 17th - 23rd – Win a Popcorn Party, Tuesday, May 24th

Nova Spark Foundation will be putting on a fundraiser for Ukrainian orphans this week and next at AACP. This specific fundraiser will be in support of orphans who have recently been affected by the war in Ukraine. Each elementary classroom will be collecting cash donations from Tuesday, May 17 through Monday, May 23, to support these Ukrainian orphans. The Elementary grade with the highest dollar amount collected will win a popcorn party on Tuesday, May 24, during recess!

Middle school can participate as well! We will be selling movie-theatre style popcorn during lunch on Tuesday, May 24, to Middle School students for a minimum of $1 donation. Please send them to school with some cash on the 24th to support Ukrainian orphans!

We will also be asking students to make cards throughout the week to send with the packages. These cards will go directly to the orphans and coming from other students will be extra special. If you would like to have your child make a card at home, please have them bring it to their teacher on, or before, May 23rd. We have prepared some color pages to provide inspiration; find them here on the PTO webpage. Please do not have children include their full name. If they would like to sign the card, please have them use their FIRST NAME ONLY.

Yulia Boozer is an AACP Parent who recently started the 501c3, Nova Spark Foundation, after learning about the desperate need these orphans have due to the war. Many of the adults who run the orphanages had to abandon the children during evacuation, and as a result these orphans have no one and nothing, not even basic needs. Yulia's Foundation is organizing to have supplies and money sent to Ukraine to aid these children and the families/other orphanages that have taken them in.

If you would like additional information about the Foundation, please reach out to Yulia Boozer at

If you have questions about this fundraising event, please reach out to Amber O'Neill at

Thank you so much for your kind donations!

Ongoing Fundraising Opportunities

Seeking Local Food Shift Partnerships

Agriculture touches each of our lives in diverse ways every single day, yet families living in urban environments are further from farm life than ever. AACP-PTO’s Fundraising Programs is seeking partnership programs with local growers in our community willing to give back to our school. We seek to:

• create personal connections between families and the growers producing our food,

• connect farm and ranch products like beef, eggs, chicken, pork, fruits, vegetables, nuts, honey, and more to consumers in the American Academy community

• support direct access to quality products and local food shift.

Do you have contacts in agriculture products or food production with a farm-to-table home delivery business? Please share them by contacting Renée at

King Soopers

King Soopers Rewards Program

Our local grocery store is a big fundraiser for our school.  Please take a minute to link your King Soopers Rewards Card to the American Academy Castle Pines fundraising program.  It’s easy to do by accessing your account online.  Once linked, all your purchases, including gasoline, at King Soopers will be automatically credited to our school fundraiser.  Tell your family members about it and ask them to do the same!

Thank you AACP families that participate in this rewards program! The King Soopers Rewards program brought the school $5,179.78 in the last quarter, and there are currently 323 households participating!

Longmont Dairy Caps: Milk Caps for Moola

Did you know Longmont Dairy is an ongoing fundraising program and longtime supporter of American Academy?  If you’re not already signed up for their home delivery service, or aren’t aware of the wide variety of products they provide, look at this product link!  Give them a try!

We love your Longmont Dairy Cap drop-offs!  Please keep collecting your caps and dropping them at the school.  The drop box is the black and white “dairy” box, next to the doors inside the front lobby.  Kindly wash/rinse your dairy caps before bagging them for the drop.  Clean caps are the best caps!

American Furniture Warehouse

American Furniture Warehouse’s rewards program credits our school with purchases in the store, over the phone, or online.  AFW donates 2% back to our school on merchandise purchased.  AFW Store Rally dates will be announced soon for our school; however, purchases made any time of the year count toward our school credit.  To begin shopping online, go to:  Be sure to mention American Academy Castle Pines fundraising program for all purchases.

Seeking New Ongoing Fundraising Programs

We are seeking new ongoing fundraising program ideas to diversify how we raise money in support of our school!  If you have ideas and contacts, please share and connect with us by emailing!  We love shopping local in support of our community.  Thank you!
