Dear American Academy Parents,
We hope you all got to enjoy some time with your families and friends this past week! We have a couple of events coming up! We have our annual movie night this weekend, on December 2nd, and our holiday boutique and uniform “fire” resale on December 9th! If you plan on coming to the movie night, please use the appropriate link below to register, and we could use some volunteers as well (there is a separate sign-up for that)!
We also need volunteers and items for Stocking the Lounge, for the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch, and please don’t forget about the AA Staff Holiday Fund!

AA Staff Holiday Gift Fund – November 27th – December 15th
The PTO is happy to announce that they will be doing the Holiday Gift Fund again this year. This much-loved tradition is an opportunity for families to give cash gifts to the teachers and staff of American Academy in lieu of individual holiday gifts. This is a great way to do something extra special during the holiday season for the people that are the lifeline in our children’s education. The gift fund packet was sent home with your student already, but you can also find a printable copy on the PTO website. If you have any questions, please email Audrey Metcalf at [email protected].
Family Holiday Movie Night – December 2nd at 6:30PM
We will be showing The Santa Clause and can't wait to see you there! Please sign up to attend this event as the PTO would like to make sure we have enough food, drinks, snacks, etc. We will also need volunteers to help set up, clean up, and to help during the movie. Volunteers for "set up" please show up at 4:30 PM, at the gym doors, on the day of the event. "Clean up" volunteers please show up at 8:30 PM. December Stock the Lounge – December 4th & December 18th
Help us stock the lounge for the teachers and staff to show them how much we appreciate them. You can drop off your donations in the big box labeled STOCK THE LOUNGE DONATIONS in the front office. Please bring your donations on or before the date listed. I am also happy to pick up your donations anytime, just call/text or email me! PLEASE LABEL WITH STOCK THE LOUNGE ATTN: AUDREY. Annual Holiday Boutique & Uniform Resale - "Fire Sale" – December 9th
It is that time of year again! Slots will be for families or kids that want to sell their holiday goods so please consider starting your Christmas shopping with us. If you would like to be a vendor at the holiday boutique, please sign up for a slot.
At the same time, we will also have a uniform resale event that will occur alongside our Kids Holiday Boutique. You’ll be able to purchase some items from our AACP Kids booths and get those uniform pieces all in one place! We look forward to seeing you all there!

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Luncheon – December 19th
Let's kick off Winter Break with an Italian Fest for the Teachers and Staff Appreciation! Please select an item to bring to the school for this much appreciated event. Please drop off all of the items at the front office by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19th. If you are unable to attend the event or can't bring your items, please delete your name from the sign up page so we can get your spot filled. Grade Level Funds
Each school year, we ask that parents contribute to Grade Level Funds for their students’ classrooms. These grade level funds are used throughout the year to cover the following: Grade Level Parties, Teacher Pampering, Teacher Birthday Gifts, Year End Gifts, and Gala Basket expenses. We have pre-populated a recommended donation amount of $40, but any donation is greatly appreciated! If you have more than one child at American Academy, please do a separate order for each child.
