Castle Pines

Board Members

Leighton Family
Leighton Peebles and her husband Josh moved to Castle Pines in 2019. They joined the American Academy family in 2021 when their son Carson began Kindergarten. Their daughter joined him at AACP in 2023. Professionally, Leighton runs a boutique-style commercial property management company, where she combines attention to detail with a passion for strong, service-driven relationships. That same dedication carries into her role as PTO President.

Leighton is deeply committed to supporting the school’s staff, students, and families. She has previously served as a room mom and led Community Outreach on the PTO Board. She also volunteers through A Precious Child’s mentorship program in Broomfield, reflecting her strong commitment to community service.

As PTO President, Leighton is excited to take a back-to-basics approach — focusing on building genuine connections, supporting our incredible staff, and creating a welcoming, unified school community where every family feels at home.
Ashleigh
Ashleigh and Jason Rigg are proud Colorado natives who joined the American Academy community in 2017 when their oldest daughter, Claire, started kindergarten. Today, all four of their children—Claire (8th), Charley (6th), Catelyn (4th), and Simon (1st)—attend AA.

Ashleigh is deeply involved in her kids' school lives and a wide range of extracurriculars, from soccer fields to gymnastics mats. In addition to her dedication at home, she serves the community as a local pediatrician, supporting other families in giving their children the best start in life.
Krystal
Krystal and her husband, Marcus, made the move from California to Lone Tree in 2015. Though both were born and raised in the Golden State, they now proudly call Colorado home. Their family joined the American Academy community in 2022, and their three children Reese (8th), Charlotte (6th), and Maxson (2nd) have thrived ever since. Inspired by their experience, Krystal became actively involved, serving three years as a room parent and now stepping into the role of PTO Secretary.

A full-time mom since 2013, Krystal left a career in Golf Management Sales and Marketing to focus on family. She also runs her own business, Ruddy Creative Studios, supporting clients in both Colorado and California.

Outside of school and activities, you’ll find the Ruddys spending quality time together usually with their beloved Sheepadoodle, Lady, in tow.

JacquiJacqui Williams has been a member of the AA community since 2016 when her oldest started Kindergarten. Her daughter, Delaney is at Rock Canyon this year. Her son, Grady is in 5th grade, Jack is in 2nd grade, and her youngest, Bodie is in kindie this year. She has been a busy stay at home mom for the last 9 years but before that worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Littleton Hospital for 7 years. She hopes to return to nursing after her busy “mom era” settles down but in the mean time loves volunteering at the school.

She is a Kansas native (Go Chiefs) but has been in Colorado since 2008. Her dream of getting to have her kids walk to school (and miss the car line) was granted two years ago and is the crazy one you will see crossing the rocks come rain, snow, sleet, tornado, hurricane or tsunami. She did however put in her time in that carpool line for 6 years and even potty trained two of her kids while waiting for the line to move. Jacqui is excited to start this new chapter of being in the school more and showing these amazing kids just how awesome and strong they are. Now sign up to volunteer or she will find you!

Kim Bontrager

Kim and her husband, Travis, have lived in Castle Pines since 2011. A Colorado native, Kim has been part of the American Academy community since 2020, when her daughter Madison (6th) started first grade, followed by her younger daughter Claire (3rd) in 2023. With over 20 years of experience in outside sales and business consulting, Kim is passionate about fostering connections and building community. She looks forward to serving the PTO in the community outreach role this year.

Jenna FamilyJenna Harter and her husband, Chad, met in Scottsdale, Arizona, while she was working as a Business Project Analyst Specialist at Cigna. They later moved to Frisco, Texas for Chad’s job, where they got married and welcomed their daughter. The family then relocated again for Chad’s job to Detroit, Michigan—Jenna’s hometown (Go Lions!)—where their son was born. In 2019, they moved back to Colorado, where Chad is originally from, and have been settled there since.
The Harter’s joined the American Academy community in the fall of 2022 when their daughter, Breckyn, started 1st grade. Their son, Connor, began kindergarten in 2023. Jenna, who studied education in college and spent many years teaching 1st grade, is excited to be back in a school setting, supporting students and helping American Academy thrive. She has already served as a room parent and regularly volunteers when she can.
Outside of her involvement with AA, Jenna enjoys staying active and spending time with her family. You’ll often find her at the gym, reading a good book, skiing, playing soccer, watching baseball & football, or traveling. She also proudly serves as Squad Mom for the Jr. Denver Broncos Cheer team.
Jenna is thrilled to be part of the PTO board and looks forward to working alongside the other amazing members to strengthen the AACP community. She’s especially excited about organizing Restaurant Nights and exploring new ways to support the school.
Dina

Dina Burmeister is excited to serve as this year’s coordinator of the Fun Run! She and her husband, Brett, have been part of the American Academy community since 2022, with their two boys, Eddie (3rd grade) and Jett (1st grade). Dina has been a Room Mom for the past three years and is passionate about supporting school events that bring families together.

Originally from Michigan, Dina is a proud Michigan State alum (Go Green!) who lived in Dallas and Chicago before settling in Castle Pines in 2019. A passionate runner and certified yoga instructor, she’s thrilled to combine her love of fitness and community in this fun and energetic role.

Tiffany Tiffany and her husband, Eric, have two children, Aiden (6th grade) and Sloane (2nd grade), and work together as owners of The Flower Shop at Castle Pines. When they aren't running around delivering flowers in town, or heading up weddings and events, Tiffany can be found curled up with a thick novel, working as the local Parks and Recreation Board chair to improve your experience around Castle Pines, hiking, enjoying the Colorado sunshine, or baking with the kids. This year, Tiffany is excited to be volunteering as the PTO-CP's Spring Fundraiser Chair, and has fingers crossed everyone enjoys the Gala!

NicoleNicole Pepin, her husband, Zac, and their daughter, Natalie, moved from Oregon to Colorado in 2015, when Zac's job brought them here.  Nicole has been a stay at home mom for several years, while volunteering at AACP, and also at their church in Parker.  Natalie, now in the 8th grade, joined AACP in Kindergarten.  Nicole loves serving at American Academy and has done so over the years as a room mom, grade parent leader, and now as the PTO Social Director Board Member.  Nicole has a passion for helping others and making people smile; as the social board member, she has a great opportunity to do both.  Outside of school activities, Nicole enjoys daily workouts (something she never misses), and her family enjoys traveling during school breaks - often visiting places they've never been!
