We are thrilled to announce that internationally acclaimed speaker and “edutainer” Robert Hackenson Jr. from Dynamic Influence is coming to our school community next week for an exciting day of presentations for both students and parents! Robert will engage students during the school day with fun and educational sessions, with a special evening presentation for parents and community members titled “Parenting in a Digital Age".
Parents from all three campuses are encouraged to attend this Informational Night:
Thursday, September 4
5:00–6:00 PM
Lincoln Meadows Campus Cafeteria (all campuses welcome!)
Recommended for 5th–8th Grade Parents
*MB is also including 4th grade
This special evening session is designed to give parents practical tools and insights to help guide students safely through today’s digital world.
Topics include:
-
Latest social media trends and apps
-
Recognizing and addressing cyberbullying
-
Setting healthy screen time boundaries
-
Protecting your child’s digital footprint
Your student will also be attending Dynamic Influence’s “Social Media Landmines” assembly during the school day on Friday for LM students. Using magic, illusions, and powerful stories, Robert will engage students in:
-
Understanding their digital footprints and how choices affect future opportunities
-
Recognizing and responding to cyberbullying (as a target or witness)
-
Exploring the mental health effects of social media
-
Learning how to avoid misinterpretation in digital communication
The student assembly is designed to empower students to make safe, positive online choices, and the parent session will help you continue the conversation at home. Asking your student what they learned is a great way to reinforce these important lessons.
