Construction crews will be adding construction fencing to establish a pedestrian pathway adjacent to American Academy in preparation for, and during, the construction of Monarch Blvd. as they work to extend that roadway. Students and parents will be able to use this pathway to access the fire road behind the school as usual (walking path and fencing plan). They plan to have this fencing up prior to the start of school, with road construction beginning late August and lasting through the spring of 2018.

This pathway is not ADA accessible, and they are not planning to do any surface improvements, such as concrete on the pathway. It will be a trail path much like what exists there today.
